We play the games, roll the dice, collect the cards, and wear the stuff we sell. This isn’t a faceless business, it’s run by people who genuinely care about the community.

We’re not a big corporation, and we don’t have shareholders to answer to. That means we can focus on what actually matters: you, and the community we’re building together.

Yeah, you might find some things cheaper on massive sites. But when you shop with us, you’re supporting real people, not adding another number to a billionaire’s bank account.

Our goal is simple: build something inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely fun. A place where everyone belongs!

Our Story So Far!

We have been on a long journey to create a welcoming gaming community for all.
​​This is our story of how we have got to where we are today...

2019
Our adventure begins in the fateful year of 2019, when we decided to purchase a sweet little shop by the name of 'Wight Island'. We weren't too enthusiastic about the name however, and quickly changed it to 'The TableTop'.
So began our journey as a high street shop here on the beautiful Isle of Wight. It's aim, to become a hub and safe place for gamers of all shapes and sizes.

2020
Ah, 2020... I'm sure we all remember this one, though I wouldn't blame you for blocking it from your memory...
Our adventure hit it's first roadblock in 2020, when Covid-19 lockdowns here in the UK meant that our little shop had to close for long periods of time, and for the most part we moved to working from home, and ran the shop from an online store. This is also when we began focusing heavily on our YouTube and Twitch content, doing daily livestreams and playing lots of community-driven games like Minecraft and Jackbox Party, as these games brought our community together in a way we otherwise couldn't do without the shop.
Many of our community struggled with the isolation of being stuck inside during the lockdowns, as did we, and this is why we fell in love with livestreaming and creating content in this way, as it not only brought together our local gaming community, but also people from all over the world who were going through the exact same difficulties. Some of these people still watch and game with us today!

2021
This year certainly had some ups and downs, and 2021 was, somehow, even more of an emotional rollercoaster than 2020! But it wasn't all bad...
After the stress and depression that came with 2020, we decided that we needed to bring some sunshine into our lives, and in May 2021, we got the news we were waiting for... We were pregnant! No matter what was going on around us, this gave us that boost of joy and hope that we needed to get us through.
Unfortunately, having to move the shop between physical and online during the various lockdowns, and the restrictions that were put in place that meant we still could not run our gaming events, AND the difficulties all small businesses were put through here in the UK post-Brexit, took its toll on our little shop. In June 2021, we had to make the extremely difficult and emotional decision to close the shop for good...
After this decision, we tried to keep The TableTop going through Twitch and YouTube as best we could, but after everything we had been through our hearts just weren't in it, and by the end of this year, we stopped, and with a new baby on the way, decided to step back and focus on ourselves as a family for a while.

2023
It was in 2023 when we realised that the happiest we have ever been was at The TableTop, spending each day with our incredible community. So, we made the decision to blow the dust off our Twitch and YouTube channels and get stuck back in! We saw some new faces in our community as well as some old friends, and it was truly magical.
Towards the end of this year we decided it would be a good time to rebrand, but, what to name our new business venture...?
Well, we have always had this lovable crazy character that became a bit infamous within our community so we decided to honour him within our new name.... 'Filbert Films'!

2026 (Present Day!)
So far this year we have made some big changes to our Twitch and YouTube channels to make the best possible content for all to enjoy, while still keeping the same chaotic energy that built us our wonderful community to begin with. Last year things slowed down again as we introduced another addition to our family. Now, however, we have comeback with the grand opening of Filbert’s Emporium! Filbert enjoys having ways and means of selling his trinkets…

We are sure the years to come will be just as exciting as we continue to build up Filbert’s Empire. The best way to keep up to date with us is by joining our Discord channel, as this is where we are active the most, chatting with our community members, getting feedback on new ideas, and announcing streams, content and events!
